Mental health awareness across the country is growing, which is brilliant. However, we believe there needs to be a shift from awareness to action.
At Arthur Ellis, we don’t think that purely signposting is the answer anymore. We need to know the practical tools and strategies that will help people directly recover.
After signposting, 75% of people’s mental health deteriorate and with waiting times ranging for 4 weeks to 13 years in some areas of the country…we need to do more to prevent and support these issues.
Even after signposting, only 3% of adults receive psychological therapies which will have a long term benefit to their mental health, these tools and strategies don’t need to be complicated. Simple things can have a huge impact to your colleagues and as a result, the business.
Our multi-award winning training is not only dedicated to your business and your colleagues but for every training day we carry out, we are able to put a child through a Mentoring process who otherwise wouldn’t be able to access support.
Bespoke Training Packages
Our training isn’t just focused on awareness or signposting, we work with you to understand your colleagues needs and design training to deliver practical, evidence-based tools to help your staff directly recover, manage and cope with either situational or long-term mental health issues.
With our Psychology-qualified staff, we use a variety of assessments to understand how your colleagues are. This helps us to understand not just the typical levels of depression or anxiety but any other emotional needs that may have an impact on mental health.
With this understanding, we develop the tools and strategies that will practically support these issues, either as a preventative measure or to enable you to tangibly have an impact to an individual in need within your business, long term, rather than just signposting.
The internal team of Champions we train will receive support from us directly until they are at point where they are supporting people within your business to not only get the external support they need but as an internal support system helping colleagues discuss their issues, formulate long term plans to help them recover, manage and cope with either situational or long-term mental health issues.
- Our team develop an understanding of your colleagues needs through digital assessments.
- We develop needs-led training, creating personalised tools and strategies to improve the mental health of your staff.
- Your Trainer will then work with your ‘Champions’ to up skill them in the use of these tools, equipping them with suitable, practical and long-term ways to help colleagues.
- A few months after training, we then conduct a re-assessment to see what impact this is having to your workforce and if any additional tools may help improve your colleagues mental health even further.
The result of our training we will help you create a work environment that is aware of the mental health requirements of its staff, and is able to apply these techniques internally so your staff can prevent, recover and manage mental ill health long term.
